Fans and followers of the West Coast Collegiate League can predict the outcomes of each at bat on their phones and win prizes from local sponsors from two of the WCL's premier teams. The Yakima Valley Pippins will also be offering the Micro Fantasy experience beginning opening day of the 2018 collegiate baseball season.
“I’m thrilled for our fans this year, who will be able to engage with the action on the field with a new, fun experience," said Jeff Garetson, General Manager of the Pippins. "The prediction games require no in-depth knowledge of the game, and I believe all ages of Pippins fans will be excited to play all season long.”
The Pippins will open at home in Yakima County Stadium with a three-game series against their sister team, the Walla Walla Sweets. Fans will get to take part in the in-stadium Micro Fantasy experience, which includes a little friendly competition amongst friends and groups of fans, as well as prizes from local and regional sponsors. More details on prizes and sponsors available soon.
“We really like the way our schedule is set up this year,” said Garretson on www.PippinsBaseball.com. “We open with weekend series that will be great for families with kids still in school during those weeks, and with our earlier start times most days, that also will be more family-friendly this year.”
