On Friday, June 1st at 6:35 pm, those hoping to enjoy an ideal summer evening can head right over to Vince Genna Stadium in Bend, OR for opening night of baseball in the West Coast League. The Bend Elks will host the Cowlitz Black Bears from Longview, WA in a 3-game series, and fans will get their first chance to play along by making predictions for each at-bat on their phones with Micro Fantasy.
Elks fans can play Micro Fantasy every game this season while streaming online or watching live in the stadium. On June 8, after hosting the Port Angeles Lefties, the Elks will head to Yakima Valley, WA to face off with the Pippins - whose fans will also be competing in the Micro Fantasy experience. The Walla Walla Sweets are also hosting Micro Fantasy contests this season and welcome the Elks for 3 games beginning June 15.
Fans will get to see in real time what predictions others are making about each at-bat, and will set their own predictions with one click. Those who accurately predict the most at-bats will be congratulated in stadium and given shout outs on the Bend Elks' Facebook page, so they can share some bragging rights amongst friends. Fans can also win prizes from local companies (which will be announced closer to opening day).
